
Author Phyllis Adams has a B.Ed. from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks and is a retired Anchorage School District teacher. An Alaska Native, she was born in Fairbanks and grew up in the small town of Nenana. Her first book entitled Alaska Gingerbread Moose is an exciting Alaska children’s adventure story. Her second book titled Alaska Boots For Chelsea is a wonderful tale about a young girl and her loving Grandmother. Phyllis enjoys reading, traveling and spending time in the beautiful Alaska outdoors with her grandchildren.

Artist/ Illustrator Kathleen Lynch illustrated Alaska Boots For Chelsea. She received her BA and masters degrees in anthropology from the University of Toronto and did graduate studies at Bryn Mawr College before coming to Alaska in 1971. She took art classes at the University of Alaska Anchorage where she worked on a Native education project traveling to rural villages. Today she lives in Victoria, BC , Canada and continues painting, working both in watercolor and oil.
